On my walks we often see this large “scary ” dog that barely bothers to move. She’s pretty fat. I’ve never seen her walk. She may have arthritis or some other ailment and be very old. I wish I could talk to the owner to find out her story.
She is a bit scary looking but I think she’s too lazy to bite unless you reach down and grab her and I’m not about to do that. We’ve got to know several of the dogs around town. Most act as if they want to eat us but one is rather friendly. I don’t think I have a picture of that dog.
I’ll close this with a picture of these two wonderful Filipino children. Often children are afraid of me but this little girl was brave and I took several pictures of her before her friend or brother joined in. Ate (big sister) was peering around the wall to get a glimpse of the action and I’m pretty sure there is a picture of her that can be seen if you go through the gallery that will follow this last photo.
I have spent the better part of 24 hours, minus about seven hours of sleeping working on this post because the formatting kept giving me so much trouble. I wasn’t working on it all the time of course. My new monkey arrived today and I spent a lot of time communicating with her but so far only inside her cage. She’s afraid of her new surroundings so I’m letting her get use to us and the area. She’s still got her fangs and is capable of doing a lot of damage so gotta give her all the respect she deserves. I know she’s going to bite me, its just what monkeys do. But if you react properly to it, they will be far less likely to do it again. With George, my previous monkey I leaned pushing him down to the floor with my hand and holding him there proved to him I was the dominant male.
She’s already figuring out that I’m dominant and has started giving me lip smacks and monkey grins that can be mistaken for bearing teeth. I hope she’s grinning and not bearing.
There will be pictures coming soon but first I have to feel like I can control her. There are more pictures of the kids in the last photo in the gallery that is displayed below.

I walked over that way once but didn’t quite make it. My girl tells me its a long way. We stopped at a little store where they sell native goods. I’m a diabetic and my blood sugar crashed. So I had to cut that walk short and get a tricycle back home. that’s as close as i ever got. I keep planning to join the Nailon Beach Club but seems I’ve never got P3000 to blow on it.
It’s so hot now though that I would rather swim for exercise than walk. I hate going on walks and coming home to a cold shower! So nope, have not been over that way.
I’ll be happy to meet you. Perhaps we’ll go to the pizza pub or the BBQ if its not to hot.
Work sucks but the money is very nice.
Sure wish I could get money without having to work for it. I don’t know who came up with this system, but we need to re-think it. There must be a better way. LOL
