Tropical Storm In The Philippines
A tropical storm in the Philippines should never been ignored and people in living in the Philippines should stay advised to the possibility of changes. Tropical Storm Three is likely to impact the Philippines within the next 48 hours. The Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) website is showing its expected path to strike typhoon ally in Northern Luzon. TSR indicates at 35% chance that it will make landfall within the Philippines. This graphic is from TSR.

You can follow the path of this storm by visiting TSR.
Here in Bogo it has been raining today and my air conditioning was able to keep up with the Philippines heat. In May, it struggles to do so on sunny days.
Minor Tropical Storm In The Philippines?
I don’t expect very much damage from it in my area. I welcome it, especially if it stays off shore. I love the rain and the cooler temperatures that it will bring.
Right now it is projected to strike the same general area where the super typhoon hit last year. There will likely be some crop damage and there is always the possibility of landslides and flooding when it rains. Other than that, I would think that area can shrug of a minor storm such as this one.
A tropical storm in the Philippines or any where else should always be taken seriously. A tropical storm can always take a life. Hopefully Tropical Storm Three will not become a typhoon.
If you pray, now would be a good time to pray for those in the path of this tropical storm in the Philippines.

I have a friend in Victoria, Northern Samar. Unfortunately I don’t know enough geography to determine if that area is threatened. Do know they have been having much rain.
After looking at the latest TSR update, it hasn’t moved north much at all, it moved east and is sitting off the coast of Samar. Expected path does not make landfall in Samar.
Yes,Samar is under assault or was. The rains have stopped in Bogo, Oras is in Samar and was listed as one of the cities under assault.
Tropical Storm Risk has upgraded the intensity of this storm to:
probability for CAT 1 or above is 10% in about 36 hours
probability for TS is 60% in about 24 hours
I think it has probably already passed this area and that would include samar. It is still raining but no wind to speak of now, just a drizzle. That doesn’t mean that it wont return though, the rains often do.
Thanks much Rusty. Last we talked heavy rains. No contact now but that’s not unusual for that part of Samar.
I have not been to Samar, they have a bridge there that I would like to see and photograph.
Jessie is from Tacloban so next time I go there, I hope to see Samar.
Have heard from my friend. All are fine. Had no signal and no power for more than two days.
I also have not been to Samar but maybe this fall I will have a chance to go.
Perhaps our paths will cross.
It’s pretty quite in Bogo now. If the storm has moved north of us, it is well north of her.
Friend of mine in Ormoc says her house was flooded. She said “big water” seems odd to me. Ormoc is in Leyte and on the opposite side of the island from where your friend is.
Rusty, I’m up for buying you that beverage of your choice one day soon.
I hope that happens, be sure to bring lots of dollars, looks like you’re going to need them. haha I haven’t checked rates today. I suppose I should.
This storm took out my Internet for nearly two days.
I used the time to work on my eBooks. Just updates to both Basic Expat Training Manual and How To Send Money to the Philippines. Was nice to see I sold five copies of Basic Expat Training Manual while I was offline. I need to go email my new customers now.
