Today, in a newspaper article published in The Freeman, the Chief Of The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) admitted that his agents plant evidence when “necessary.” He went on to say they only do this when they cannot catch a well known drug dealer.

It was refreshing to see his candor.

Are Filipino going to ignore this are they going to condone it?  Filipino are a very good people, they may trust a government official to exercise proper desecration in this planting of evidence for the idea of the common good.

[After learning a bit more about the law here, I found it necessary to edit this article.  As a foreigner, I may not be allowed to encourage change in the Philippine Government as it appears to be the governments position that is it meddling in internal affairs.  With the situation going on in this country, I can certainly understand this position.  Please see http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/10/28/08/bi-warns-foreigners-mass-actions
