Pizza Pub in Bog City Can’t Get it Right!

i have enjoyed going to The PIzza Pub in Bogo City since we moved to Bogo. Everything has gone fine until our last two visits. The selection they offer is pretty limited. They have a supreme pizza and we always order it without bell peppers and mushrooms.

UNICEF Takes Stand on Overseas Foriegn Workers

The Philippines has been actively supporting Filipino that wish to work overseas as a way to bring new cash into the financially developing country. UNICEF, a Children’s Fund that is a part of the United Nations (UN) is sending the alarm that it is mostly women that are taking these jobs to become domestic helpers and ripping families apart.

They often leave children behind, often the oldest daughter takes over the role of mother and the oldest daughter often feels the most anger and abandonment due to her mothers leaving the country. Overseas Foreign Workers (OFW) can make significantly more in the US

Another Day without Electricity

Jessie’s reasoning seemed sound and we both thought they would brown out Bogo City last Sunday. They didn’t but they were right on time today. I guess they are going to do it once per month but trying to figure out which month doesn’t seem to have a pattern. Tomorrow Jessie is going to call and ask how we can find out when they will turn the power off in Bogo City.

Philippine Dynamite Fishing

I was a bit surprised to find that dynamite fishing is still going on so close to a large metropolitan area but yesterday a Fisherman in Lapu Lapu died when a huge chuck of a coral reef broke away and landed on the man who was standing in chest deep water.

It seems to be not uncommon at all. A man was killed and his son blinded earlier this year when dynamite exploded before it was tossed into the water. There was at least one other dynamite fishing death in the area this year.

Moro Islamic Liberation Front

(MILF) claims that the Philippine Government is moving to position of war. In my mind, war is already underway in the southern part of the country. I sometimes look out across Bogo City and think how calm and peaceful things are here and how it could all change. I reflect on the war going on in the south that has left half a million people homeless.
